How To Complete A Toolbox Talk On HASpod

With your HASpod account, you can complete your health and safety toolbox talks online - from your computer, tablet or smartphone - and get your results as soon as you finish!

All of the toolbox talks are online and ready for you to take. Completing a health and safety talk is easy with HASpod, and in this guide, we show you how.

Whatever you call them - health and safety talks, toolbox talks, or health and safety moments - it's all simple with the HASpod Talks Plan membership. Each talk is delivered in a rewarding way with automatic completion records and results.

To complete a health and safety talk, you need a HASpod account and access to a talk. You can either take a trial on the Free Plan, or join our Talks Plan membership.

Let's begin!

Log in

Before you can complete a toolbox talk on HASpod, you need to log in to your HASpod account. So go ahead and login to your account to get started.

(If you just created an account when purchasing a membership plan, you will be automatically logged in!)

Go to talks

When you log in, you will see your user dashboard, where you can access all your services, view your invoices, and manage your account settings.

Right now, we want to access the Talks service - so click the Talks button on the user dashboard.

Start a talk

Great, now you are viewing your talks.

Here, you can find every toolbox talk, with hundreds of health and safety topics to choose from.

(If you have already passed a talk, you will see your progress here too!)

If you are on the Talks or Pro membership plans, you get access to all of our health and safety talks. Click on any talk to begin.

Pick a talk based on the work you will be doing that day, a hazard in your workplace or an activity you are interested in. You can search by keyword, see which talks you have recently completed, or those you need to renew.

If you are on the Free Plan, you can pick one of the free talks that are available to you.

Take the talk

Each talk includes important safety information about the topic, including an introduction, importance, regulations, guidance, and summary. Many of our talks also include a video, so you can watch, listen, or read the information.

Our toolbox talks generally include:

• An introduction to the topic
• The importance of the topic
• Overview of regulations
• Best practice guidance
• Summary of the talk

You can view a talk without completing it. You can watch the video or read the content as many times as you need. Once you feel you understand the topic, you can take the quiz to complete the talk.

Take the quiz

To complete a talk, you'll need to take a short quiz, answering multiple-choice questions about some of the important parts of the talk.

Once you have finished the talk contents, you should be ready to take the assessment.

Click the Start Quiz button to begin.

When you are happy with your answers, submit the quiz to get your score!

As soon as you finish the quiz, you can view your marks to see which questions (if any!) you got wrong. Take a moment to review your answers and see if you made any mistakes. You can go back into the talk if you need to recap any specific areas.

Get your results

Did you pass the talk? Well done! 👏

Head over to Talks > Results to see all your scores and which talks you have passed.

If there are any talks you failed, didn't score too well on, or any areas you didn't quite get the first time, don't worry. You can re-take the quiz, but we recommend going back through the talk to improve your understanding first.

See your report card

You can find your report card for talks under Talks > Report Card.

Your report card shows you your talks progress over the past year, including:

• How many talks completed
• How many talks passed
• How many talks failed
• Your statistics
• Your grade
• Your streak for the week
• Which topics have been completed

If you are managing a team, you will also see reports for your team under Talks > Reports.
