Talks Update And Toolbox Talk Videos - Sept 2025

This month, we've launched a big update for our Talks Plan membership, which includes:

• New design
• Videos
• Updates to every online health and safety talk
• Updates to assessments

This is a big update, so let's dive into the details!

🎉 Toolbox talk videos have arrived on HASpod!

Do you want a health and safety talk you can watch and listen to? A talk that is actually spoken to you?

We're excited to introduce HASpod's new Talks Plan, which includes health and safety videos!

We know that people have different learning styles, and previously, our talks were only available in written format. Not anymore! With this update, many of our talks now include a talk video.

Our toolbox talk videos contain all of the information from the talk, including the introduction, importance, regulations, guidance and summary, in an easy-to-watch format. So instead of reading the talk, you can listen and watch it too!

We've been busy creating videos for our online talks, and you will find many of our talks can now be watched and listened to. We are launching with videos for around half of our talks, and will continue adding more videos to all of our talks in the coming months.

If you don't like the videos, or need to take talks in silence, that's ok! Every talk includes the text content, so you have the option to skip the video if you prefer to read instead.

New in talks

You might notice a few changes when you click Talks from your account dashboard. We've refreshed the design of our talks and improved searching.

🆕 Talks should be quick and simple to complete, so you can now go through each section of the talk and complete the quiz, from one page. The new design is more mobile-friendly, too, so it's easier to complete talks away from the office.

🔎 Searching has been updated to make it easier to find by keyword and/or progress. Need a talk for dust? Type "dust" in the search box and see all the talks relating to dust. Just want to see the talks you haven't completed? You can also filter by progress.

🆕 It's not just the look that's changed; the content of every talk has been updated too. So pick any topic, and learn something new!

⚠️ You won't have completed any of the new talks, but don't worry, your old results are saved! To see all your talk results, go to Talks > Results in your HASpod account.

⬆️ Talks assessments have been updated and improved. Take a short multiple-choice quiz to see if you understood the talk, and answer the questions correctly to pass the talk.

🔁 You can now retake a talk on the same day, so if you fail the talk the first time, you can take another look at the talk (or re-watch the video) and have another go at the quiz.

New in reports

You'll still find your report card on your account, under Talks > Report Card. Or if you're a team admin, you'll find your team's reports under Talks > Reports.

🗓️ Reports show your progress and grade for talks completed over the past 12 months. Your card is a summary of the total talks you have completed, passed and failed. It also includes your grade, talk streak and list of completed talks for the year.

ℹ️ Your grade is a score out of 10 calculated based on the total amount of talks completed, overall score and how recently active you have been.
